Athar Parwez (1925-1984)

Athar Parwez (born Muhammad Usman) was an eminent Urdu scholar, critic, journalist, and children’s author. Associated with Aligarh Muslim University, he contributed significantly to literary research, the editing of classical texts, and children’s literature. Renowned for his vibrant prose style, his memoir Aligarh Se Aligarh Tak remains an enduring masterpiece of Urdu literature.
