Mirza Adeeb (1914-1999)

Mirza Adeeb was a Pakistani Urdu playwright and short-story writer. Known for socially conscious plays and stories, he gave prominence to realism in Urdu drama and fiction. A key voice of post-partition Urdu theater, he promoted realism and earned major literary awards in Pakistan. He was born in Lahore and likewise passed away in the same city.
