The Fire-Eater, on hearing about Pinocchio’s poor father’s misery, gave Pinocchio five gold pieces and told him to go straight to his father. After embracing all the puppets, Pinocchio went on his way; however, he had not gone far when he met a Fox lame in one foot and a Cat blind in both eyes. When the Fox called Pinocchio by name, he was extremely surprised and asked how the Fox knew his name. The Fox replied that he had seen his father, Geppetto, at the door of his house shivering with cold. Is the Fox telling the truth or trying to fool Pinocchio? Are the two companions really disabled, or are they making up a story to trap poor Pinocchio? Do you think Pinocchio will again fall for their words and not go to his father? Read the story to find out!
