Pinocchio Part 30

We read in Part 29 that Pinocchio and Candlewick were changed into donkeys. The door was opened forcefully by the same coachman who had brought them to the Land of Boobies. He first stroked and caressed them until they began to shine, then he put a halter round their necks and took them to the market to sell them. Candlewick was bought by a peasant, while Pinocchio was purchased by the director of a theater. Pinocchio’s new master used to treat him badly, hitting his legs with his whip and forcing him to eat straw. What will happen at the theater?
