Once, there lived a Griffin far away from the town where its image had been carved over the church door by a sculptor. The real Griffin learned about this many years later from someone, and since he had never seen his own reflection or another griffin, he became very anxious to know how he looked. As a result, he flew away to distant lands and eventually reached the town where his image had been placed on the church. However, the people became frightened upon seeing such a dreadful visitor. The Griffin wanted to talk to someone, but nobody dared to come out of their houses. Finally, he met two laborers, and upon asking them, one of them said that the Minor Canon could come and speak to him. Now, who was this Minor Canon, and why did the laborer suggest him? Would the Minor Canon have the courage to face the Griffin and speak to him confidently? What kind of relationship might develop between the gentle Minor Canon and the powerful Griffin? Read this fascinating story to discover how the meeting between the Griffin and the Minor Canon changes the lives of both the townspeople and the Griffin himself.
