Frank R. Stockton was an American writer, humorist, and author of fiction for both adults and children. His stories combine fantasy, irony, and playful logic with clear, engaging prose. He is best remembered for “The Lady, or the Tiger?”, whose deliberately unresolved ending made it one of the most enduring puzzle-like tales in American literature.
