Heidi Part 22

In the last part, we learned that Heidi was very excited to go on a journey to the mountain with Clara. Early the next morning, Uncle made sure the weather was clear for the journey and, after being satisfied, pushed Clara’s chair out of the shed. Soon after, Peter arrived. He was already angry because Heidi was no longer paying attention to him and was spending all her time with Clara. In a fit of fury, and seeing that no one was around, he pushed Clara’s chair down the slope. When Peter saw it rolling away, the chair was completely destroyed. Peter was overjoyed by his action, believing that Clara would now be unable to go with Heidi. Will Peter’s action prove fruitful for him? How will Heidi react when she cannot find the chair?
