حکیم احمد شجاع اردو کے صف اول کے ڈرامہ نگاروں میں شمار ہوتے ہیں۔ اُنہوں نے بہت سے افسانے لکھے‘ ناول بھی تحریر کیا اور کئی فلموں کی کہانیاں بھی لکھیں۔ علا وہ ازیں انہوں نے ایک ادبی رسالہ ’ہزار داستان ‘اور بچوں کا رسالہ’ نونہال ‘بھی نکالا۔زیر نظر کہا نی میں مصنف نے ایک  سراغ رساں کی ہوشیاری بیان کی ہے ۔ ایک بار کسی  جوہری کے گھر سے ہیرا چوری ہو گیا تو چور کا سراغ  لگا نےکے لیے خفیہ پولیس  کے ایک افسر کو بلایا گیا ۔  پولیس افسر نے ایسا کیا کیا کہ نہ صرف چور  پکڑا گیا  بلکہ چوری شدہ ہیرا بھی برآمد ہو گیا ؟  چوری  کی اس واردات کے متعلق جاننے کے لیے آئیے کہانی پڑھتے ہیں ۔
