Allama Hairat Badayuni (1896–1975)

Hairat Badayuni, born Syed Hasan, was an Indian Urdu poet and scholar with deep knowledge of Urdu, Persian, and Arabic. Born in Badayun and later associated with Hyderabad, he wrote poetry as well as scholarly and biographical works. His collection Ibriq reflects his command of classical literary traditions and his distinctive poetic voice.
