When Alice arrived at the court trial, she found the King and Queen of Hearts sitting on their throne with a great crowd of animals and birds seated around them, acting as the jurors. The White Rabbit, standing near the King, read out the parchment stating that the Knave of Hearts stole the tarts made by the Queen. What punishment will be given to the Knave? What part will Alice play in this trial? Will she again find herself in any trouble? The Queen then asked Alice about the Mock Turtle. Who could this Mock Turtle be, and why was the Queen looking for him? Where did Alice go with the Gryphon?
