Kamel Kilani (1897–1959)

Kamel Kilani was an Egyptian writer and a pioneer of modern Arabic children’s literature. He wrote and adapted hundreds of stories from Arabic heritage and world literature in clear language for young readers. His educational storytelling, graded vocabulary, and radio work helped establish children’s literature as a distinct Arabic literary field.
