In the last part, we read that Pinocchio recognized the little woman as the kind Fairy. Pinocchio happily said that he would now call her mamma, as she had grown into a woman old enough to be his mother. Pinocchio also wished to grow, but the Fairy told him that, since he was a puppet, he could not grow like a real boy. When Pinocchio expressed his desire to become a man, the Fairy explained that he could only become one if he learned to be good, truthful, obedient, and hardworking. Why did the Fairy forgive Pinocchio? Under what condition did she agree to become his mamma? Will Pinocchio truly keep his promise and change his ways? Read this part to find out whether Pinocchio is finally ready to become a better boy.
