The Laughing Hippopotamus

This story dates back to a time when the world was newly made, long before the existence of mankind. In those days, a son was born to the queen of the hippopotamuses who lived near the banks of the Congo River. She called him “Keo” because he was fat and chubby. Keo was the jolliest hippopotamus his family had ever known and was always smiling. However, one day he fell into a deep pit and became the captive of a black man.
